Meet the Team
Maria Bush LPC-MHSP, MPA is currently the Assistant Director for the Office of Crisis Services and Suicide Prevention, Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. She is a well experienced, Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider serving in the mental health field for over 11 years. Maria has served as a Child, Adolescent and Family Case Manager for one year and an Emergency Psychiatric Services Crisis Triage/Counselor for nine years at Mental Health Cooperative in Nashville. In addition, Maria served as the Primary Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist at The Next Door, Addiction Treatment for Women in Nashville, and for three years served as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence therapist in Murfreesboro, among other roles.
James Bush, LPC-MHSP-TEMP, is the Program Director of YODA (Youth Overcoming Drug Abuse) a division of STARS Nashville. Whether facilitating groups or training peers, he has and continues to serve the mental health community of the Middle Tennessee region. For multiple years, his efforts have been concentrated on the growing adolescent substance abuse population within the Greater Nashville area and surrounding counties. Which has led to service through community events, and partnerships with for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
